# Organizations Organizations in the world of Iroe. # Moonstriker Assassins The Moonstriker Assassins, founded in **4026** NA8 by Taeral and Ayen Moonstriker, a husband and wife. The small operation grew to 10 people by **4036**, then around 30 (all elves) by **4056**. Amidst this growth, a number of the original members retired (or were killed). Furthermore, the original founders were (violently) usurped by their children: the triplets Zatanna and her brothers, Zelix and Zenith, beginning the golden years for the Moonstrikers. During their golden years, the three triplets branched out. While the Moonstrikers had previously been elf-only (not because of speciesism, merely as a result of Taeral and Ayen only really knowing elvish assassins), the triplets put a strong focus on hiring diverse species, backgrounds, and skillsets. With the ability to use the best assassin for the job, the Moonstriker assassins became world-famous, renowned for their competence and dedication to getting a job done. By **4086**, the organization had grown to over 100 members, and the triplets no longer personally led the hiring process. The golden years couldn't last forever, and in **4097** Zenith and Zelix had a falling out: Zenith decided the organization was becoming too stagnant under Zelix and Zatanna's leadership & decided to break off from the Moonstrikers with the employees loyal to him after threatening to kill Zelix if he didn't let him leave. Zelix took great exception, believing they could only be strong together, told his brother to stay with the Moonstrikers on pain of death. This became a full-on civil war right as Zatanna, who had been out traveling and returned to the Moonstriker's base of operations. When Zatanna, after talking to Zelix and trying to talk to Zenith to hear his side of the story, was then caught in a raid by Zenith on Zelix's forces. In a last-ditch attempt to save the lives of countless Moonstriker assassins as well as some non-assassins who were visiting the Moonstrikers to request their assistance, Zatanna and an otherworlder named Irix Verebold sacrificed themselves fighting off Zenith's forces. ### Moonstriker Headquarters The Moonstriker Headquarters is located in south-western Koshus. It is located in a forested canyon, though its specific location is kept as a secret to any who aren't part of the organization: any guests are blindfolded and led into and out of the encampment. # Order of the Wielders of Magic (OWM) Craftimark: Get Chimera to write up a description of the OWM. ### History #### OWM Founding Before the OWM there was a similar order of magic (currently unnamed). This order fell apart. The OWM was founded in the early 3900s NA8, as a spiritual successor to this older order. This initiative was refounded by the legendary wielder of the Staff of Zero Kelvin, Uvogast "the Frigid" Farnlant (who willingly destroyed the staff soon after traveling to Pegro with his apprentice, Marc Fleur'de'Fleur). He decided not to head the organization he started to found, because he saw he had more important tasks (such as the founding of Eselan) that he could not do with the responsibilities of the High Marked Mage. (Craftimark: No info present on who actually lead the order in his place.) #### The OWM Civil War A member wizard/paladin became obsessed with killing a necromancer rogue who hid in a forest filled with wraiths and killed several interceders in an overly violent fashion. Was willing to offset magical energies and some High Mages on the OWM went with sunsins to stop him. The rest of the OWM considered this a breach of their authority and 6 High Mages fought against the rest in the OWM Civil War. The OWM Civil War happened roughly 10 years after the OWM's founding. # The Order of the Copper Jackal Secret Organization whose members are all undercover as bartenders named after the bar of a bartender (probably Sortileges) in an undeveloped country in Proc Flana who was the secret protector of his town. ### Known Members - Master Owini (South Warren) - The Jade Shadow (Hullbeck) - Dooley (Uluru) - Alenor (Pegro) # Mendevians The Mendevians are a mutli-national, multi-racial crusade force that has engaged in multiple military campaigns in Greenland between 3923 and 4020 to attempt to stop the devastation of the [Svraksi](https://docs.craftidore.com/docs/books/monsters-and-creatures/page/svraksi "Svraksi") upon the land and prevent their spread to other continents. The "Mendevian Crusades" were reasonably successful but never wholly so, and the areas of Greenland wherein they took place are left in ruin. Many Mendevian Crusaders have retired to northern areas of Greenland rather than returning home, as they became tired of constantly fighting and the attacks on the Svraksi began to feel more like cleanup missions.
